Sadly only a couple of pro-shot shows from this era are in circulation, and they're not exactly standout performances, most of them aren't complete or are only a single song performed on TV.
Check out this list, it's a little confusing to wade through, but basically if the text is in bold, there is at least part of it on a commercial release (eg Vieuphoria) and if it's in italics then the recording is known to exist but isn't circulating. www.splra.org/wiki/index.php?title=VideoList Someone should really overhaul it and improve the formatting. |

The lucky thing about the Gish era for video recordings is that there seems to be quite a lot of footage of the debut performances of songs.
http://www.splra.org/wiki/index.php?...Tsp1991-06-22A First performances of Drown, Rocket, Kill Your Parents and Smiley Only performance of Jesus Loves his Babies http://www.splra.org/wiki/index.php?title=Tsp1992-07-23 First performances of Daydream, Spaceboy and Starla, and one of only three complete and pre-reunion performances of Obscured. Also a really cool unique improvisation towards the end, with Eric Remschneider on cello. 1992-07-24 is also an excellent show, with another unique improvisation and the debut performance of Hello Kitty Kat. I know the audio is circulating, but I don't think I've seen the video. Fruit Bat Salad has the earliest performances of Disarm, Frail, The Joker, Plume, Hummer, Sweet Sweet, and the only performance of Bullet Train to Osaka. |

If you've seen it before then I don't even need to explain why.
