I still don't like the song any more than I did when he released it, but I can dig this vibe of performance. No drama, just playing directly to fans. It's too bad he had to destroy the Smashing Pumpkins' legacy to get to this point...

I get that piano is not his main instrument and it feels satisfying to him to pull the old left-hand-root-note/right-hand-triad move, but you know.

a little embellishment for the sake of the audience would break up this dirge a little bit.
