so divided and worlds apart are pretty awful but canterwaul is pretty cool

trail of dead are awesome live. well were awesome. idont know i saw them back when STAC came out. by the way I don't think pitchforks 10.0 on that album is that far off the mark. its always been one of my favorite albums ever.

I think I might like worlds apart more than source tags, but that could be because I've listened to source tags 7 billion times.

so divided likes: wasted state of mind, stand in silence, gold heart mountain top, life, sunken dreams.

elena's tomb is pretty good. All Saint's Day is amazing.

sounds pretty good. kinda like madonna/source tags crossed with worlds apart, if that makes any sense.

terrible stream, but definitely more consistent than so divided.

Oh, no sir.

Still killing it live. And the last three albums are excellent and I would vouch for century of self although I get the impression that wasn't too popular here.

ix was my last hope that they'd return to the glory days. on first listen it seems ok, but then their last what 4 albums have been like that and weren't spectucular. i think they're firmly settled in what they're gonna do.

Man I thought Tao of the Dead was pretty spectacular. Reminded me of some old school pumpkins bombast with the guitars. And doing it all in one key and letting the songs flow together was a great idea. Also contains one of the more accurate summations/putdowns of the last few decades of warmed over rock and roll cliche: "pure cosplay." I think of that line practically every time I see a photo of a new band looking cool on the internet.
