I bought the book, but I lost it before I could read it.

Didn't know there was a movie, too.

Isn't virgin suicide just sex?

I mean, there exists no virgin afterwards.

My favourite torture-porn film really sets itself apart by using some cinematic and narrative conventions not typically found in the genre. The film employs mise en abyme in its structure, with a film-within-a-film that mirrors the plot of the framing story narrative. The entire hour-and-a-half film is shot in one long take in a single fixed position, as if a comment on how being denied the ability divert your attention for some brief reprieve from a ghastly scene is a form of torture in itself.

The premise of the film is that a man is strapped down in an armchair and forced to watch Grown Ups 2 on Blu-ray.

Rings - 2/5
It was better than I expected, but it still wasn't a very good movie at all. Too slow and boring, I cared for none of the characters. The main couple (the people you're supposed to root for) are terrible, they have no chemistry whatsoever and get no defining character traits other than him citing some greek mythos in the beginning and she seemingly thinking she has to sacrifice to save her likely-a-jock-from-high-school boyfriend. Just ugh.

Word of advice: if your boyfriend is involved with some secret organization in college where they take turns watching a cursed video which is essentially a death sentence, just leave. No guy is worth that trouble.

Yeah, that's right up there with the Poltergeist remake as something I'll probably watch at some point when there are no other options for entertainment.

So probably never.

I singled out the latest Planet of the Apes series as something our whole family could enjoy which is like the holy grail these days. So we watched the Rise and Dawn at home last week, and went to see War today. I am tentatively prepared to set it aside as my favourite film series.

Gorillas riding horses, are you fucking kidding me. These movies have it all.

I like both planets of the apes' but I haven't seen the third one.

Scared to go to a movie theater alone. it's dark in there.

I am forever in love with the OG Planet of the Apes film series. It's not for everyone, but I personally love it much in the same way folks love Star Wars.

The new series is nice too.

Dark Tower

Spit in the face of King fans because of terrible plot changes

Well casted anyway, elb is totally believable as Roland, surprisingly best part of film though is how much fun Mathew has as The Man in Black

We're going to work our way back - I've only see the first one, and I'm pretty sure I was stoned because I only remember the end of it.

Angry about Dark Tower pt.2

Supposedly there is a tv series greenlighted and I have higher hopes for that

Seeing The Gunslinger on screen is cool I just wanted more of that and less focus on the stupid kid, nobody wanted Harry Potter and the gunslinger, who is this film aimed at

Jake actually gets pushed into traffic in one world and falls down a cliff in another in King's version kill da kid off

Get it, because Marky Mark?

But really, the 2001 version is terrible on just about every front. Skip it and you will sleep at night.

This movie was completely forgettable. I recall my frozen Coke and popcorn more than anything on screen
