It is better than I expected. I wouldn't go as far as the commenters on youtube saying the song is now going to be a massive hit. But atleast Billy didn't embarrass himself.

Im not going to write an essay on what makes it artsitc to me but as I already said I like the colors, images, symbols in the video. I think its expressive and I like the balance. Again its a subjective so whatever you got out of it has to do with you...not me.

you didn't get anything out of it, since you can't explain what you liked about it other than the fact that it was "arty"

When you discuss art you usually talk about how it affected you. Something that has pretty colours doesn't make it good art.

It's not just that, that was going to be a given regardless, the editing and treatment of the video is what's even more awkward.

By its definition awkward means "lacking skill", "clumsy", "ungraceful", etc and I'd say the editing fits that criteria. TEG was awkward to me as well.

I agree with reprise that some parts of the video are almost disorienting in a psychedelic or vertigo sort of way. Quite trippy at times. An interesting video for a lame song.

Chris Cunningham fans, sadly nowhere near that good, but the video is better than I expected.

Still looks like they used a checklist of used-10-times-before images they wanted to get in, a half-baked storyboard, and then Corgan came along with his wishlist. on top of it the attempt to feature some sort of classic band images.
but thanks to that nauseating cut you get too dizzy watching to notice right away.
