Question Would you rather bring LaBelle back to Netphoria, or bring Carrie Fisher back to life

I know it's a tough one, I'm not sure how I am voting yet, what does everyone else think?

carrie fisher is another one of those bipolar celebs like robin williams that people who i personally know to be unreasonable, dismissive and cruel to me are posting about how brave & fantastic they are on face book and how we need to support our bipolar friends and family <3

if carrie fisher ever felt as bad as i do, and i think she did, then bringing her back to life would be a terrible crime

star trek has lots of episodes though the plot of which is something vaguely like the spiritual beliefs of a primitive seeming people are kind of vindicated

also the prophets

thing is there's no woo involved, the wormhole aliens are a lifeform inside a place with no concept of time so they may SEEM like gods, just like the changelings do - of course my boy ronald d moore is really into exploring space woo & did so on battlestar and was not very successful with it tbh, its the weakest part of Ron Moore's skillset, is his unfortunate fascination with space woo. I always felt like there was a tug of war in the ds9 writers room about how far to take the spiritual element & there were fortunately people who recognized that space woo is not trek & that should be respected

most of the eps that i've seen that deal with someone's ancient belief in gods or whatever is seen through that liberal utopian ideal as being explainable with science but we're not going to lecture these people about what it actually is because of the Prime Directive. because like with a lot of those eps, they start off encountering some kind of godlike but they find out there's an explanation for it and even if its more fiction than science its more than Star Wars ever (needed) to do (although we all know about miticlhorians but i'm pretty sure that's being buffed out of canon)

one of the reasons mitichlorians were so upsetting to people was because the fans actually LOVE the spiritual space woo feel of star wars & didn't want a sci-fi explanation.

its actually why i argue that its actually space fantasy and not even science fiction at all
