I can't quite come to terms with the idea of going out only to retrieve fries.

I agree, fries work best when they are a nice surprise and just happen along the way.

Just not sure why anyone (especially a cop on duty) would feel the need to point them out. They younger one goes "wow nice boots, are those waterproof?" and I go "I sure hope so" and as i turn my back to them I just hear snickering and whispering.
It's possible I took it the wrong way but I'm fairly certain I didn't. Who knows, maybe they were focused on something else about me or something else entirely. It's just not fun to run into 6-7 cops at 1am after making a beer run because you're tired of drinking liquor. |

cops are like teenagers in that they turn into jerks when you get them in a group. they probs wanted to rile you up into saying something, anything so they could wail on you.
i would have said to that remark/question, "i'll say!" and sashayed away. |
