i dunno what it's like in florida but people i worked with in IL always got people like a whole extra month or something by finding something the landlord didn't do properly. if you don't have a plan you might wanna look into that (if you haven't already). i was always surprised at how often landlords would just fuck basic procedures up.

if you establish that you're living in a place, the fact that your name isn't on a lease is most likely not that relevant if you follow rules.

i signed a lease once that said i wouldnt have sex (hetero or homo), no coffee or booze in the apartment and no females inside after 8pm. none past the chastity threshold of the living room either. ever. pets ok.
