Guitarists: Phasers
Anyone have a phaser in their set-up? I've been thinking about buying one, but wanted to hear some opinions. I've viewed some youtube demos, but there are so many to choose from. I'm willing to buy a mid-level boutique phaser (budgeting heating oil sucks).
I want something that keeps my tone fat. Some phasers sound thin and weak. |

I have the DigiTech HyperPhase. I would suggest you run very far away from it.

It would be like being buzzed be a horrible sounding digital phaser.
Here's the Gear Thread slunken mentioned. http://forums.netphoria.org/music-ne...ar-thread.html I got a new guitar yesterday--Mexican Strat--to replace my p.o.s. |

Also, my three-year old suddenly loves "Space Oddity." Maybe a phaser would add a cool little touch to that song.

Mexican Strats. Where do I start? I actually prefer them to US-made. I have a tobacco sunburst with maple neck, built in 2000 or so, everything stock, and it actually sounds pretty damn good. But I'm going to buy another one and mod the shit out of it- better pickups, maybe switch out the pots. A mind project at this point. |

I have an old green Russian EHX Small Stone. It's wonderful. Find one.

i have an american EHX small stone. easy to use, and sounds awesome. i go for a more subtle phase, which this does perfectly without sucking tone.
