reminds me how pathetic Deb had become last season. they really wrecked her character during season 5 and 6. She started out on the show as an ass kicker and just went downhill

i don't see how Dex gets out of the series without dying.

2 more seasons is only to keep the viewers while they develop a replacement. No reason to keep the series going that long.

its funny coz i just started watching Oz and virtually every actor on there is from Dexter. laguerta is the nurse, doakes is on death row, batista runs the latino faction, and there are prolly more i'm missing. laguerta actress was pretty hot ten years ago before she put on a little weight

i guess 8 seasons sounds right. i just hope the last two aren't near as bad as the 5th season

I remember the woman who plays Laguerta from the show New York Undercover.

i've gotten half way through season 2 so far.

i never saw the last season, but i know the basic plot. can't wait to get there! such a great show. not sure why my parents let me watch it as a 12 year old though

i seem to remember the last season being pretty bad and soap opera-ish
but up until season 5 it's amazing

well i mean you have to suspend a lot of belief every episode. all the people being murdered, fights with no real consequences, murderers getting convicted and put to death in like a month, etc

but i can imagine it getting even more so if it goes outside of the prison, yeah

this is one of those shows really worth suspending disbelief about without complaints. it's just that good

I'm on season five right now. i'd say the quality is consistent despite a few eyeroll worthy story arcs (won't spoil it). Hilarious how incompetent the staff is. my god

My season 7 plot speculation.... *spoiler below for those who didn't see season 6 finale.

Dexter somehow manages to keep Deb Quiet following the season 6 finale. LaGuerta gets suspicious and reopens the Bay Harbor Butcher case, which leads her to Dexter. at the end of the season, Deb kills LaGuerta to keep Dexter's secret

I can't see deb killing her off. what would be more likely is that Laguerta finds out and blackmails dexter (she's a dirty cop) That or dexter bangs her to keep her quiet. she's always had a thing for him too.
