Owata is just as bad unless we’re talking the Chris Isaak performance. You guys made me go to Youtube and listen to Song For A Son again, I was vomming after 30 seconds. Schmaltzy with terrible lyrics and delivery. You can’t sue or sass me, Corgie. |

Song for a Son was well reviewed overall. I think all but pitchfork had good things to say about the TBK v1. EP. Some people seem too quick to declare all things SP 2.0 garbage.

lots of people, it seems.
i kind of like it, but it's sort of the start of this uplifting thing that corgan still does and it usually really doesn't work. |

Song for a Son is another example of a good song ruined in the studio.
I really liked it when it appeared in the setlists back then (along with As Rome Burns) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfTe2jq-qHw Actually the Bridge School performance might be even better but I can't find any good quality videos from that one. I was looking forward to the studio version only to find out it was ruined by those dad rock solos, poor midi "plink-plonk" piano lines and that ghastly "he sailed without a... maaaaaaaaaaap!" ending vocal delivery. |

Billy can blame the poor sale of the new Pumpkins record -at least in my case- on the rerelease of the Beatles "White Album" just a week before.

i only think it's kinda bad, it's not outright awful but definitely in the bottom of the barrel as far as SP1 stuff goes for me
sjj was pretty spot-on about it essentially sounding like a proto-Zwan song, in the worst way cool solo tone tho! |

Yeah, not to mention the Jimi Hendrix Electric Ladyland box set out this week. Both more worthy purchases than Shiny Oh So Bald Vol. 1 Search For the Yeti.

It sounds like the sort of energetic song that plays over the closing credit of a shitty kids movie, that's meant to suggest "please vacate the auditorium quickly". The fact that the song is "untitled" speaks to its throwaway nature.

Ugh, this song is awful. Each single has been worse and worse. I can't, I just can't. Not my style of music at all.

I was solely referring to yer ranking of singles
This may not be the best of SP (or even SP2) but it's still a hell of a lot better than the complete shell that Solara was |

All 3 tracks are enpty shells to me, I just find Solara a tad more tolerable cuz of its live version. These two other tracks are just not the type of stuff I would listen to. Then again, I don't listen to Solara. But live it shows it could have been a better track. There's no saving these other two tracks.
