I will gladly take suggestions of bands that sound like the Rock N Roll album. I'm not really into the slow alt.country sound at all.

lol Ryan Adams was never alt country. He was a singer/songwriter version of the strokes. Dirty hangover music for the coffee shop crowd.

Ryan Adams does like the Strokes but I am otherwise confused. Whiskeytown is pretty hardcore alt country.

Never heard the music, but the guy looked like a hipster piece of shit so I never bothered.

Sometimes you can judge a book by its cover.

Heard it, didn't stick. I just didn't click with anything I hear post-Gimme Fiction. My problem, not theirs, I think.

i'm kind of the other way around, to be honest. I got into them off the two newest LPs & haven't really gotten into anything pre-Gagaga that much

I was supposed to see Spoon open for Weezer back in 2005 (Make Believe era lololol) and apparently there was some drama with the singer and one of the local radio DJs and we ended up getting The Fray instead.

Nah, I unironically love Everything Will Be Alright In The End and The White Album, but it was a long road to get there. In fact, I still have the deluxe versions of Raditude and The Red Album to prove it.
