Default Billy is planning to put out three to four archival releases a year

The Pumpkins were known for recording a lot of material. How much unheard music is in the vault?

Excuse my indulgence but when I look in the vault, it includes stuff thatís not Pumpkins-related, too. Iím trying to set up a schedule where by this year Iím releasing archival stuff every three to four months. Iím talking about an albumís worth every three to four months basically to infinity. I started heavily documenting what I was doing musically in í94 and so thereís so much stuff there that could be released. And I think whatís cool is with streaming, you can put stuff out and people can participate in it without making a financial choice; itís already included in the package theyíre paying for. I think the vinyl market sets up versions for collectors but weíre back in a democracy where if people want to listen they shouldnít have to feel they canít. We want to reward people who want to listen to our music ó my music ó by giving them fresh stuff to digest and share. We donít see any reason to sit on that stuff anymore. I really am not kidding. If I get what I want in terms of schedule, we should be able to put out three to four archival releases a year for the next 20 or 30 years, easy. And thatís not including what weíd produce from this point on. So basically to infinity.

thought this bit was interesting:

Is this the best incarnation of the Pumpkins weíre seeing live?

I think musically right now, weíre very proficient. But I think itís hard to dismiss what the band had in those other years because we could play a 45-minute improvisational song every night. Thereís a lot of things that band could do that this band canít. I think what this band represents well is every period of our music with great articulation and grace. Weíre able to play everything from the smouldering ballads to the ferocious rockers. I think thatís pretty cool and I donít think the old group could do that.

The old group COULD do that, but it's sorta refreshing to hear him give props to the original magic of the band. But also, fuck him.

Corgan already seems to fail in releasing the Machina reissue at the twentieth anniversary.

I'm reading a secret message that Strawtits will do the Machina "art"work...:

Linda erased her post for whatever reason...

This is essentially saying that SP1 was "the band" and SP2 (SP7?) is a theatrical review of that band.

You know, like Aerosmith's Las Vegas residency, except they tour.
