Yeah it’s great. Super cool to see it back in rotation. Even if it’s just for these two shows.

I really don't like the studio version of Quiet, but it's a killer song live.

I mean the entire OG SP never once utilized the whammy bar.
MAAAAYBE if you count that string bend Corgan does behind the nut on the Hummer intro can pass at that.

But to have Jeff on stage demonstrate his best Batio-esque wank as a flex to Iha standing right there IS kind of hilarious.

Can't wait until they pull out another Deep Cut

Something awful good. Like Slow Dawn. or Real Love.

Perhaps Nite Mare

then sic Jeff on it. Really let him loose

He mentions this on IG.

He said he looked it up (on spfc?) and said, "Apparently we played it at one of those VIP things we used to do, but I don't remember".

Yeah, one of the Oceania era VIP gigs here... which naturally, that badass Copperpot has a 2 cam mix of, because DIGITAL ARCHIVES MATTER:

I think you're basically looking at Quiet vs Spaceboy vs Sweet Sweet. I'd narrow it down to Quiet vs Spaceboy. Sweet, while obviously twee, is a much needed breather between Silverfuck and Luna.

Anyways, yes - this rules. Quiet was a great pick. Reminds me of a thought I had re the Shiny tour. How cool would it have been if they did one random deep cut each night during the encore along with Solara and Baby Whateverthehellthatwas. Each show has a singular unique cut? That would have made that tour way fun to watch unfold. With James and Jimmy in tow, there's NO reason why they can't do that nightly. Re-learn one old song and go for it... then hope that Jeff and Jack don't fart on it.

the jeffrey/master bates hate is really getting out of hand.

I wonder, would you dare say this to Jeff's/Jack's dad's face(s)?

Can't believe I am about to say this, but that is actually not a half bad performance of "Quiet". Nothing like what they played the other night, but I have seen some of those "VIP Show" videos and this seems like one of the better ones. I have seen videos of them playing "Rhinoceros," "Porcelina of the Vast Oceans," and "Starla" at these things, and they are high school cover band level bad. This is at least has a tiny bit of energy.

There was one everyone posts where Mike fucked up the tempo and you can see Jeff look back at him in confusion.

Are you complaining, Seedspray15? We don't tolerate whiners, round these parts, so you can leave you're "negative attitude" at the door!

I think my dad is complaining. He loves when they spend 20mins doing calling occupants of interplanetary craft. To be fair that would be good.

I know your tolerance is low

Spaceboy is one of my favorite songs in their whole catalog. Mellotron is a mood and his vocals are in full on moonfaced cherub mode in a good way. Very heartfelt. It really works well in sequence on the album too, after the slow burn of Mayonaise and before Silverfuck
