Thumbs down If Billy keeps releasing one song a month..

..and is planning to release 44 songs...then we are going to be waiting until August 2013 until we actually have the entire album.

1. That's hardly revolutionary Bill.

and

2. Isn't Billy the kind of person that thinks the world will end in 2012?? He's probably planned it this way as he still can't fucking go all the way through with a project. Blame the apocalypse this time Bill. Nice one.

Yeah, if he doesn't change a thing or two about that whole TBK project, he's gonna tank big time.

What revolutionary things were ever quick?
American Revolution July 1776 - October 1781
French Revolution 1789–1799

I don't think BC ever considers that the end is near.

wow dude, you seriously think this thing is "revolutionary"??? There are at least 9000 bands putting out crap music for free on myspace, how is teargarden remotely "revolutionary"

A couple of years ago, and a couple of computer explosions ago I had a link to this blog belonging to a guy who decided he'd do a song a day for a year, and he must've cheated, beacuse surely it's not possible to write a song and record it in 24 hours for 365 consecutive days? But anyway, the songs I listened to were really good, and this was just a guy. I still maintain that Billy's "people" are so sycophantic that none of them have the balls to tell him when something sucks, so whatever the time frame, some of this stuff is going to reek unless he gets some decent perspective.

My biggest gripe has been that I've been paying for Billy's misses and experiments, but at least this stuff is free, so I don't feel so wrong about deleting it from my hard drive forever.

I think he's comparing the importance of Teargarden to the American and French revolutions, obviously.

It's an obvious comparison.

It was Billy who said it was revolutionary, rather 'ground-breaking', to be precise.

If he really does this, the fanbase will be so fed up with the inconsistent music he's putting out that we'll just stop caring altogether. He'll just have 0 fans.

maybe we'll get lucky and he'll release material from the gish/sd/mcis era that's locked up in a vault somewhere. would be cool if he released actual songs from Pastachio Medley

What's more likely, the entire thing derails or we actually get more than 1 song a month? August 2013 is pretty fucking nuts.

I wish I could remember. I've had about three different computers since then and I've lost all my old bookmarks. All I remember is that it was in the early 2000s and a guy on another SP forum put me onto him. It was kind of like shoegaze music and I remember being amazed at how beautiful it was considering this guy was coming up with a tune every day for a year. If I ever track him down again, I'll let you know.

Waiting until 2013 sounds long if you think of it as waiting for an album, but keep in mind that we are talking about 44 songs. That's four albums, or three of very generous length, in 3 3/4 years. Or, as we should perhaps see it, 11 EPs of four songs each.

I'd say that if you like the music, that's a great treat. But given Billy's history of abandoning projects, yeah, I'd be surprised if he managed to stick to it for 44 songs.

This way of releasing songs probably guarantees Bill the maximum amount of hate per song, judging by the huge thread we already have for the last one. He's almost definitely going to give up. Even if he doesn't read netphoria, this place gets to him one way or another, and with his increasingly childish behavior he simply won't be able to ignore the criticism.
