Your lipstick stains
On the front lobe of my left-side brains
I knew I wouldn't forget you
And so I went and let you
Blow my mind

Your sweet moonbeam
The smell of you in every single dream I dream
I knew when we collided
You're the one I have decided
Who's one of my kind

Hey, soul sister,
Ain't that Mr. Mister
On the radio, stereo?
The way you move ain't fair, you know
Hey, soul sister,
I don't wanna miss
A single thing you do tonight

Just in time,
I'm so glad you have a one-track mind like me
You gave my life direction
A game show love connection,
We can't deny

I'm so obsessed
My heart is bound to beat right out my untrimmed chest
I believe in you, like a virgin, you're Madonna
And I'm always gonna wanna
Blow your mind

Way you can cut a rug
Watching you's the only drug
I need
So gangster, I'm so thug
You're the only one I'm dreaming of

You see
I can be myself now finally
In fact there's nothing I can't be
I want the world to see you'll be
With me

Thai looks so hard to learn. Everyone I've ever chatted with from Thailand that knew English was SO exceedingly nice, though. The land of smiles

The last time I heard someone talk about cutting the rug, it was the 80 year old guy who organises the roster of organists at my previous church, when I played a "contemporary" 20th century worship song at the prescribed tempo rather than slowing it down 30 ppm to suit the congregation.

Well. In my day they would have called it cutting the rug.

He wasn't always pleased with my tempo.

One week I struggled to learn a new hymn, with pedals. Afterward he said. "I wished I could put a bomb under you, during that first hymn. I thought it might speed you up."

Oh yeah. I could wax eloquent on that topic, having spent most of my life in them.

The third or maybe fourth chapter of Tom Sawyer is fucking hella hilarious. In takes place in a church. You should totes read Tom Sawyer with you little demons, Vixnix.

ha, alright. I've never read it but we'll give it a go.

Hopefully it isn't too racist.

This week I had an interesting chat with my 12 year old. He answered one of his vocabulary assignment questions, involving a reading on Rosa Parks: "White people felt the negroes were arrogant, for not appreciating the privileges they already had."

His rationale was that it had fewer letters than African American and he was tired of writing.

He finished reading IT, this week. That's where he learned the word negro.

Vixnix Mark Twain was anti-racist. Huck Finn is about a black man escaping to freedom and Huck escaping from an alcoholic dad.

Tom Sawyer is a hoot and a half. Someone back me up.

Yup. Tom Sawyer is more lighthearted.

Huck Finn is a masterpiece.

Yeah I should read more of Mr. Clemens. Makes me laugh. The ending of Huck Finn when Tom shows up has literally brought tears of mirth to mine eyes.

To all those people doin' lines,
Don't do it, don't do it.
Inject your soul with liberty,
It's free, it's free.

To all the kids with heroin eyes,
Don't do it, don't do it.
Because it's not not what it seems,
No no it's not not what it seems.

Salvation, salvation, salvation is free.
Salvation, salvation, salvation is free.

Ah, ah, ah, ah

To all the parents with sleepless nights,
Sleepless nights.
Tie your kids home to their beds,
Clean their heads.

Alcohol, alcohol;
Puke your guts out in a stall,
Smash your head into a wall,
Dive into a savage brawl,
Watch your steps or you might fall,
Into gutters there to crawl,
With the worms who lost it all:
Alcohol.

From scenes like these old Scotia's grandeur springs,
That makes her lov'd at home, rever'd abroad:
Princes and lords are but the breath of kings,
"An honest man's the noblest work of God";
And certes, in fair virtue's heavenly road,
The cottage leaves the palace far behind;
What is a lordling's pomp? a cumbrous load,
Disguising oft the wretch of human kind,
Studied in arts of hell, in wickedness refin'd!

We had a large historical map of Scotland in our toilet. It showed all the sites of battles and massacres and had all the family shields. There were also snippets of Burns littered over it. It gave us something to ponder I guess, on those occasions that you couldn't find a good book to take with you.

I'll never forget, that was scrawled in the bathroom of my cabin at summer camp when I was 12. It was right next to the sage nugget, "retard goat lives forever" complete with a crude drawing

lol that's dope, kind of reminds me of this great "poetry"

In the morning I awake
I feel my bladder about to break
I scratch my balls I rub my eyes
Just feeling lousy

My girlfriend tells me that
It's time to take a bath
I say, "No, not today, it's only Tuesday"

Once every 24 hours
I'm supposed to take a shower
That's not the way I do it
Do it do it
Personal hygiene is the last thing on my mind
I don't want to do it
Do it do it

It doesn't make a difference to me
Everyday I do the same old thing
So why should I have to be clean?
Those dreaded Wednesdays and Saturdays
Also known as shower days
I hate them

I'm not sure Johnny Ramone and Johnny Rotten envisioned this was the type of content that their music would influence, but hell, it's funny shit!

Therefore Morgoth came, climbing slowly from his subterranean throne, and the rumour of his feet was like thunder underground. And he issued forth clad in black armour; and he stood before the king like a tower, iron-crowned, and his vast shield, sable unblazoned, cast a shadow over him like a stormcloud.

But Fingolfin gleamed beneath it as a star; for his mail was overlaid with silver, and his blue shield was set with crystals; and he drew his sword Ringil, that glittered like ice.

Sauron was become now a sorcerer of dreadful power, master of shadows and of phantoms, foul in wisdom, cruel in strength, misshaping what he touched, twisting what he ruled, lord of werewolves; his dominion was torment.
