bootleg vinyl. new indeed. showed up on ebay a week ago.

wait until you see it.
it looks very crappy.
just look it up on ebay or something. "smashing pumpkins chicago tapes" should do it.

oh wait here's a pic:

Sounds like an old-school bootleg combo to me. We've got all those songs in demo form, I believe?

nothing less then an Prism Sound Dream AD-2

make sure to use a The Gabriel turntable
but an ELP laser turntable will be fine as well.

yea, its on ebay.... its a vinyl bootleg. mine is in the mail right now. it has a cover similar to MCIS and its pre-gish demos and some MCIS demos. any hardcore fan already has these mp3s.

I just called amoeba. The girl said there is no new sp release available there. She did say, however, that *industry-inside-info* we are actually right on the verge of a new sp album. Have no idea if she knows what she's talkin about.

it means that there will be new music in October. Billy himself has confirmed this. There will also probably be some kind of achive sort or release as well.

many stoes sell bootleg copies of things, thats all. i think its obvious looking at the ebay listing that it is a bootleg. still, its going to be fantastic to have these songs on vinyl.
again, this is not an official release by the band. the artwork is horrible and the tracklisting is from 2 different eras of the band. these songs demos were also leaked a long time ago......
|
anyone remember the outcesticide bootlegs from nirvana? these were all demos and live recordings.

many record stores list these as "imports" due to the laws around selling bootlegs and whatnot.

hows that for substance?

I just had a long conversation with the vinyl dealer and he is going to try and request to get some more in
He can't promise anything by it
They only had 10 sent to their store and he just sold the last one right before I called.
He did give me a few other record stores that could possibly carry this, but he wasn't sure about how they go about shipping them
Also he believes it could be limited because he was only sent 10...
so keep your eyes open for more maybe at this store
and a few others too

So because the one on ebay shows the artwork of that particular copy listed for sale, does that mean it's the same cover art of the one being sold at the record store?
Same songs yes, but is the cover art the same? who has the answer?

that's what you get for buying "new style AJ 2009", whatever the fuck they are. Who the hell are you, Turtle from Entourage?

Lol I did see this in the record store yesterday. Somebody put it in the used bin by mistake. I guess they were anticipating the inevitable. Funny things is, I would buy it if it only contained the MCIS demos.

the weird part is that it actually looks pretty legit. it's one of the nicest bootlegs (packaging wise) i may have ever seen. in fact the only dead giveaway is the fact that it contains two very disparate recordings and the artwork (knowing if it was legit) would be WAY different.

is the artwork actually black and white? or is it in colour?

and yeah, apparently it's available in many record stores.

I remember when I bought The Aeroplane Flies Low (or Lower?) back in the day thinking it was legit. This was probably in 1997 or 1998. Oh, memories. And I NEEDED it even though I had all the tracks (it was SD singles) already. God I wonder how much money I wasted when I was in THAT phase...

have you seen the fake mcis 3lp? that one is also very well made. lots of people were convinced it was real. one of the arguments was that it wouldn't look so nice if it was a bootleg.

i never have personally. i heard the printing on the cover was slightly blurry though (which is indicative of bootlegs). is that not true?

this new thing is just printed nicely.
