Rolling RuPaul's Drag Race thread.
Season 5, hunties.
My favorite after the first episode: http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...52758910_n.jpg that shit is made out of WALLPAPER. she got robbed. edit: OH YEAH AND THERE'S A SHOE ON HER HEAD. i'm more interested in who i hate so far though http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...81869451_n.jpg sarena cha cha. i don't care that you went to art school. you are annoying and your sense of style sucks. GTFO. she's lucky penny tration can't make matching hips for herself (what a bush league mistake, amirite) http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/A...iNVqgR5A6l.jpg alyssa edwards. gross and needlessly catty (and unfunny, which is fatal). stop trying to stir shit up with alaska. YOU'RE NOT ON HER LEVEL. [/gay] |

Maybe you should surprise B dressed in a nice négligée and high heels once in a while.

I did creep out in the lobby of my apartment in her long skirt thing when we had known each other for only a couple of months. She took pics but i think only one has survived.

it will seem weird at first but you really just need to embrace the crazy. it's wonderful escapism. I've really come to love some of the queens. Namely Yara Sofia, Sharon Needles, Raven, Jujubee, Alexis Mateo, Pandora Boxx, and Shangela. Just wonderful! |

one of my favorite Ru lines from the premiere: "if she had a twin it'd be double penny tration."
maybe a little obvious but the delivery was so excellent. |

Shangela and Willam got some shit for that. Shady bearded ladies.
Industrial strength drag makeup could probably cover it pretty well. |

Not sure how i left Willam off my list. Latrice Royale too. My favorite big girl. Although I do have a soft spot for Stacy Layne Matthews (from Back Swamp, North Carolina).

eulogy great thread! however, i only just finished season 2! we dont get the episodes concurrently in canada. we had season 1 a few years back. i found s2 on netflix last week and hoovered it in a few days. gonna watch season 3 tomorrow.
i will download 4 & 5 afterward and will be able to discuss. as for season 2 bulllllllllllllllllllllllllllllshit on pandora boxx not taking the whole thing. jessica wild was my fave, though my husband commented many times on how hot tatiana looked. |

almost all the way through s3.
took awhile for me to get a solid favorite, but i'm going with alexis matteo. when we got to know part of her back story in the support our troops ep, she had me almost in tears. she totally should've won the jock frock competition AND the hip hop one! her and the jock she made over were amazing - they were just one girl short of a late 80s freestyle girl group. okay and when carmen carrera and raja were lipsynching for their lives and got all physical, i kind of got a semi . carmen is soooooo hot but there's not a lot of humor to her drag, so she's def not the next drag superstar. i also loved stacy and delta work is one of the greatest drag names ever. and of course shangela is fabulous, as is yara. |

Shangela has taken off since the show. She was my favorite personality. Yara has my favorite style though. What a fierce, scary queen that one is. Definitely loved Alexis too. as for season 2, Pandora and Jujubee were my Shangelas and Raven was my Yara. Still can't get over that finale. what was Ru thinking?! |

yeah i think pandora was robbed in s2. taken way too soon. i would've been all right with raven or jujubee winning too. the other tyra? she did evolve quite a bit and had great makeup and styling, but very little charisma and uniqueness. i appreciate that she was in it to make a better life for her son - i got the impression the child's mother was out of the picture.
i think i already mentioned this but jessica wild was my personal favorite s2. Last edited by pale_princess : 02-06-2013 at 10:39 AM. |
