Does this make it twice as good or twice as bad as we previously thought

I'm going with "twice as bad" since it means one of these EPs opens with Alienation

I'm actually quite curious to hear what you think of it. A few people who I really respect their taste in music really quite enjoy the new release, but it does absolutely nothing for me. It's sort of an oddity in that respect and I don't get it... We like a lot of the same sorta shit from the same era, it'd be interesting to hear your 2 cents.

I've heard three songs, I think, and they all left me feeling profoundly annoyed.

Someday I'll get around to the rest, I suppose. But I need to cram in a few more 3eb self-titled listens first.

No, I meant I'd rather listen to Ursa (3eb's Teargarden) than give the new SP a shot.

Out of the Vein is very good but I think I prefer Dopamine, if I'm being honest with myself. And you. Because I would never lie to you (no).

Crystal Baller is ballin'. Definitely one of the best tracks they ever recorded. Can't say I loved Out of the Vein as much as I love that song.

Yes, Beatles For Sale is the best early album. It's like dark experimental rockabilly.

lol I admire your restraint. I was unimpressed with the first 3 songs and still couldn't wait to check out the rest of the album, only to be incredibly disappointed lol... Actually I thought/think Silvery is pretty decent, but still underwhelming considering my initial hopes/expectations.

Here's an example of the "genius" that you've been missing:

God I hate that fucking song. Sounds like SP trying to jump on the Imagine Dragons/ 21 pilots bandwagon. Billy's biggest flaw has been his obsession with scoring another radio hit... Tarantula was the last song to garner radio play and it wasn't desperately pandering to the times! If you're reading this, grow the fuck up Billy!
