PARIS show discussion thread.
THE SMASHING PUMPKINS, GRAND REX, PARIS, FRANCE
5/22 SET LIST United States Today Stand Inside Your Love Orchid Doomsday Clock Home Hummer Starz Tarantula Bullet Gossamer 33 Rocket Winterlong To Sheila Glass and the Ghost Cherub Rock 1979 Tonight Neverlost That's the Way Disarm Zero Untitled __________ Shame Silverfuck _____________ Annie Dog Muzzle ----- Today was electric, too. EDIT: whoever merged my original Live Update thread into this one did a bad job of taking some things I said out of context and placing them here in the first post, heh. Oh well. To sum it up, my friend who was front and center at the show called me during the show, put her cell phone on the stage and let me listen live. From there, I just posted the songs I heard onto Netphoria, the MySpace page, the photo blog and in the chat room that someone set up. After the show was over, the SP MySpace posted the official setlist. Das it. I thought the vocals for SIYL and Today sucked, but that's all I really said about that. Das all. The phone cut out... she's going to call me back.
They didn't open with Today. The first thing she let me hear was something else... couldn't make it out. Electric, somewhat slow, like a buildup. I'll get more info in a bit... |

Nah. I could hear all of Today and Stand Inside Your Love perfectly. SIYL sounded eactly like his strained electric performances early during the Machina tour... just sucky vocals with great guitar and drums. |

The quality over the phone was crystal clear man. What's the difference? If his voice is straining to hit the high notes, it's not hard to tell. |
