part I (gish):

part II (siamese dream):

part III (MCIS):

part IV (adore):

part V (machina):

part VI (closing):

It's a good doc. I remember when it was on TV over here years ago. I taped it and watched it about 10 times since.

I always wished that they'd gone slightly more in depth about the D'arcy situation... Oh well. It seems entirely possible that at the time they all wanted to maintain her privacy, which would explain the amount of stuff they have in the documentary related to her departure.

Yeah that site is a god send. I was planning on making a DVD of the Rock Am Ring, and have a couple of those as special features.

yeah, he seems ashamed of it, like it was a failure. adore is a great album.

hopefully when he looks back now he fully appreciates it.

Adore may not be my favourite Pumpkins album but when it first came out I was obsessed with it and was shocked when I read it was a flop. I still have a soft spot for it because it's the unappreciated Pumpkins album. As I watched this I realised for the first time how much Billy Corgan reminds me of Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka.

I think this was the worst thing to happen to Billy, maybe not the band as a whole. To think how fearless & daring Billy was in creating music up to Adore, he was never the same in that regard after the fallout of Adore. I never quite understood why he took it so seriously, the album still managed to sell 3 million (least this is what I remember), and the ensuing tour was a big success.

who else here went to the one time showing of this in chicago? i believe it was at the gene siskel theater.

and then after it was over they popped in the greatest hits dvd even though it wasn't released yet, and showed us some videos with audio commentary.

anyone?
