It's weird. Sharks making it to the cup is pretty much gravy for this year, so I'm not really bothered by the series so far. I'd rather they win it all of course, but this is probably the first series where they don't have the best player on the ice (Crosby > Pavelski). From there the difference seems to be that 1/4 to 1/2 step the Sharks are behind most shifts. Game 3 means everything now for el Tiburon's.
But the future looks bright with Martin Jones in goal. He might have to steal the next one to get them back in it, but overall, that guy is smooth as silk and about the calmest tender I've ever seen. Last edited by The Omega Concern : 06-02-2016 at 04:37 PM. |

I'm a huge hockey guy but I feel like the sports gotten incredibly boring now that they've taken out all of the physical play. I still watch it and follow it, and I realize you have to make it safer for the players sake: but the games more boring than it's ever been... The scorings down... lack of action... back and forth soccer like atmosphere... As a hockey fan it hurts to admit it, but they gotta do something to shake it up again.
Bigger nets, smaller goalie pads, bring back fighting in a more organized way... SOMETHING...ANYTHING! |

was really wanting to have st. louis vs. tampa bay, with tb winning it all. ol' couch ass would have been LIT for that
in this final, i want pittsburgh. partly because im tired of the sports teams in this area always winning, and partly because of my undying hatred for joe thornton. fuzzyroes - do you find playoffs boring or is that more of a regular season comment? i'm glad that a lot of the head-injury causing stuff is down, but agree that more could be done to make it less soccer-like. bigger nets would be pretty excellent. one time in a summer thing i played with this guy, who is one of the lead plantiffs in a concussion lawsuit... it clearly f's these guys up |

Mehhh...Sharks had a great year and finally ran into a better team. SC window is still barely open for Thornton and Marleau, but they're transitioning nicely to a new core and there's some decent prospects ready to step up next year. That and there must be at least 25 other teams dreaming they had a 26 year-old Martin Jones. Sharks have their franchise goalie for the next decade which makes it easier to reload each year. |

God if the Pens had him in goal it'd be insane. Jones was definitely the better goalie and the deciding factor for their wins no question. He was assaulted but played out of his mind the entire time.

The trade for Jones saved Doug Wilson's ass. That and hiring Deboer. He got traded from the Kings to the Bruins and THE NEXT DAY, he got traded to the Sharks. Kings are sitting nicely with Quick, but still, that's gotta hurt how the Sharks swooped in like that.

Fleury carried that team through a TON of wins this season. He was the sole reason they didn't get decimated all year long. Basically the only factor that stayed consistently good all season was his play until he was injured. HOW DARE YOU MARC-ANDRE IS A SAINT.

He 100% carried the team through the regular season since, to restate my point, he was the only consistent player through the changes/badness.

Okay pleb casual bandwagon fan, if you didn't watch any games this season but just pulled up his shutouts to cover for it then that's fine. Pens won the Cup, idgaf.

Pens on the cup again, Gordy Howe is dead and there's going to be an NHL team in Vegas.

At least it wasn't Chicago. Blackhawks are scumbags, rapists and goons.

Wings unloaded Datsyuk's cap hit to Arizona. Going after Stamkos. Seems like they would need more room in their cap. He'll get more than 7 million per year.
Even with Stamkos they still need a tier 1 defenseman. And there aren't any in Grand Rapids |
