Default i just won my first case

back story: april 1st i ordered a bookshelf online. i've been dealing with this mess over a month and finally (for the second time) told it would be shipped may 1st. then may 2nd i get this email:

I am sorry but UPS (and Fedex) have refused to pick up this item due to the large number of damage claims.
We can arrange for a shipment via freight truck, but that would impose an additional $145 to the shipping charges, $50 of which we are willing to absorb for the inconvenience.
Please let us know if you'd like to proceed with additional $95 charges or cancel this order?

I thought OH HELL NAH and replied with this (excuse some of my sub/verb disagreement)

April 19th I received an email saying they were no longer in stock and I would have to wait until the 26th. I immediately called back confused because I was told it was shipped. The person I spoke to that time did not know why I was given that info.

And again I was given a future date of May 1st. And now...over a month after making my order, you want to charge me another $95? No. When I paid on your website, it shows I am already paying for freight shipping. And not one employee over the entire month mentioned an additional fee- and you can see in the notes I spoke to many.

Please give me a call immediately at 123-123-1234 to discuss or let me know how to cancel my order.

just went through a similar ordeal with a car seat, so i'm relating pretty hard at the moment

finally canceled the order and just built one out of scrap wood

I'm usually super deferential in situations like this but when we had some p serious water damage in our apartment I got the guy to go from like "meh someone will be there in a few days" to "it will be fixed completely in three days and also please have some money" just by basically being kind of a dick. He deserved it though.

Can any of you badasses help me get the warranty company to send another vendor to my house to fix a leaky pipe? The first guy started a fire 🔥 and did not fix the leak at all.

I'm on phone call # 5, week # 3, and pipes still leaken all the while

Sound like we got some masters of "don't take no for an answers" in here, helpme
