Default Theme piece openings

Or general openers by the band, how they first come out on stage. how do you feel about each era?

MCIS era was perfect imo - this sad, nostalgic, familiar piano played over the PA set the tone as the band came out for WBFTT

SD and gish i believe it was just house music playing, then they'd walk onstage and play

pale scales was excellent

acoustic intros are bad [machina and post-reunion], excluding of course the pajama shows, which weren't intros so much as separate sets

Machina had Aphex Twin for the house PA music to set the scene, and that would blend into the “Where would we be without content?” atmospheric thing looped into them beginning to play.

The 97 era had them playing that Yard Birds “Glimpses” instrumental.

And weren’t there a bunch of SD era shows that had circus music over the PA before they launched into some rocker?

even prior to mellon collie there was a beautiful operatic piece that played before the house lights went off
