so lets clarify the 44 song teargarden catastrophe
4 songs - vol 1
4 songs - vol 2 13 songs - oh see anne-e-uhh 9 songs - MTAE thats 30 songs. so are there going to be 14 songs on the album next year? |

As Pumpkins leader BILLY CORGAN has said about the album, which will be released one song a time until all 44 tracks are out: "Each song will be made available absolutely for free, to anyone anywhere. There will be no strings attached. Free will mean free, which means you won't have to sign up for anything, give an email address, or jump through a hoop. You will be able to go and take the song or songs as you wish, as many times as you wish."
TEARGARDEN BY KALEIDYSCOPE, CORGAN has said, "is based on 'The Fool's Journey,' as signified in the progress of the Tarot, the intention is to approach the work by breaking down the journey of life into four phases as made by different characters depicted in major arcana cards: the Child, the Fool, the Skeptic and the Mystic." hmm |

what it's basically come down to is a guilt-free way to just choose yer favorite sp3/4 releases from the past 4 years and throw out all the rest

Pretty simple:
-He bit off more than he could chew, again, by attempting to embark on a planned 44-song album -He quickly realized that he couldn't do it, and then bailed on the whole thing -After getting a lot of shit for Teargarden being just another broken promise, he tried to "claim" that Oceania was part of Teargarden just so he could add a few more tally marks to the 44-song disaster -All subsequent work, including MTAE, is now "claimed" that it is all part of the Teargarden project In short, he fucked up early on with yet another overly-grandiose bullshit plan, and then tried to pretend followup projects and albums were all planned ahead a time as part of Teargarden so as not to look like a failure. |

 He'll be making himself a new cheese sandwich every two weeks but they'll all be part of a bigger cheese sandwich which in total will be made up of 44 cheese sandwiches. It's never been attempted before and will revolutionize the cheese sandwiches industry and the way they are eaten. |
