it really is a silly question, right... all I know about jail hygiene is from the tv series 60 Days In!

Baths suck when you are six foot six and only your torso fits.

reprise in jail and prison (the lowest levels) you could take your time. there was just one shower per unit but we had all day so everyone showered daily. only problem was you pushed a button got a blast of boiling water for 45 seconds and then it timed out. so you would have to push it again.

in quarantine (intake prison) we had two minute showers early in the morning. if you missed the door being unlocked at 4 am (if you didn't open them they would relock) no shower for you! Same with meals. it was hardcore.

Interesting. I have some weird fascination with jail procedure, but I think I'll keep asking my no-clue questions instead of attempting to find out first hand.

but why at 4am? that is even earlier then in senior care home. so breakfast at 5am? when do the doors lock for the night, 7pm??
and how long is intake prison, a few days or longer?

ive never been to jail/prison but psych hospitals (some of them) are shitty, though not as shitty. its like the techs dont realize that unless they give you something, you literally have nothing

I went to this nice small birthday party last night.
The kind where you think you spent a ton of time in and when you get home you realize it's barely past midnight.
Also one of our friends' s/o started a youtube channel where she rants against stuff most of us actually enjoy. So of course everyone had watched her being a shithead full of preconceptions so her attempts at making conversation and trying to seem nice to us felt really fucking forced.

Fun time anyways.
