Vampire Weekend is solid. I hate the fact that they wear sweaters and go to Ivy league schools more than anyone but it's mostly good shit.

the kills album made me sick - there are only about three good songs at the start and then the rest is fodder!

Með Suð í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust, Sigur Rós
Evil Urges, My Morning Jacket
Fleet Foxes, Fleet Foxes
Third, Portishead
Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel, Atlas Sound

I haven't listened enough to put it here, but the Tallest Man on Earth is great, too.

my roommate informed me that vampire weekend was playing on the radio at the grocery store. he is a lacoste-wearing fratboy douchebag who drives a suped up car.

vampire weekend tries to pull off the entire "we're cutesy and bouncy listen to us for fun!" but all it says to me is "please turn me off this is the most insignificant piece of music you'll ever listen to"

the songs arent good. by insignificant i dont mean their importance to like, music in general, i mean that i cant continue listening to the songs because they suck and have no appeal for me. practically all the music i listen to is catchy, and nothing on that album sticks in my head at all.

1. Meshuggah - obZen - the more i listen to this the more i suspect it's their best album to date.
2. *Shels - Sea Of Dying Dhow - fucking gorgeous. not just neur-isis wallpaper, but quality epic shoegazey metal.
3. Earth - The Bees Made Honey In The Lions Skull - another one that took me ages to appreciate, but what a fucking spectacular album.
4. Made Out Of Babies - The Ruiner - i have a high school crush on julie christmas
5. Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons, You Pain That Shit Gold - dope as.
