Yeah, I thought this made for a good thread idea due to the fact that music videos play such a diminishing role in todays popular music culture. Music videos are kind of a lost art in a lot of ways.

I have no idea why the thread got deleted. I think it had potential to be pretty interesting.

A side note: I actually had no idea that Spike Jonze directed that Daft Punk video! Now that you mention it though, it totally makes a TON of sense. Guys absolutely brilliant.

Well, I don't generally talk about the bulk of the artists that I'm into here. I mostly just bring up the artists that I like whom I'm not sure where the members of Netphoria stand on. I bring up artists that typically wouldn't be bands that SP fans would listen to to gauge the reaction for some interesting conversing.

I could bring up a lot of my favorite bands like Dinosaur JR, Pavement, Pixies, Sonic youth etc, but it wouldn't really be conducive in creating an interesting dialogue

I mean, what would be the point in starting a "Any Cure fans?" thread? Obviously if people love the Pumpkins enough to post on a forum, they'll quite obviously dig the Cure.

So it's always comical when people criticize my musical tastes or knowledge when they don't even know the beginning of it.
