If anybody listened to the Big Blood video I'm curious as to what you think of it.

Because I'll go on record as saying Bush is my 2nd favorite 90s mainstream rock band.

To me they're the perfect distillation of mainstream grunge.

The chorus is so Creed-y.

Also I thought I was listening to Stone Temple Pilots until I got to that point. I get bands like that mixed up.

seems like they've been around forever
i remember hearing their demo on that 'freak the sheep' show on bfm back around the end of the 90's maybe? i used to listen to a bit of post rock back then. many fond memories of HDU shows at the kings arms.
really rate the drummer

MAN YOU'RE OLD

HDU eh? bet they would have been a killer set circa '96-'98 or so.

guilty as charged, actually! (Bailter Space at the KA in 99 anyone?)
great thing about HDU was ... well, you never knew what to expect. they would play the really hard edged, noisy, dissonant sets one night and then next time you saw them it would be all of their really melodic, dreamy, psychedelic stuff. almost two different bands. when the bass guitar came out you knew you were in for it. i fuckin loved it at the time. being allowed to smoke joints out in the garden at the ka certainly helped.

I remember when I first saw that video. I was in 11th grade and it really blew my top. Didn't know what to make of it, but I liked it.

"woo!"

Yeah I think Jakob is one of the only 'post-rock' bands for which I actually burned a CD so I could listen in my car stereo.
