it is march 22nd, 2018
I've been on this board since march 22nd, 2000. I was 18 then, 36 now.
I think this is a legal reason for me to commit euthanasia. I will ask my sister, she's a doctor |

March 22, 2000, I was living in Prahran, Melbourne. Steadily building up to my 1g/day marijuana diet and subsequent hospitalisation.
If you think it's lame that you're still at netphoria after 18 years, at least you didn't have a dream to be a singer/songwriter and screenwriter in 2000, and just end up being a fat housewife homeschooling her kids in 2018!! |

I was 10 year old at that date. No clue what I might be doing besides being an annoying brat.

But what did you do with all that early 00s internet connection?
Talk to people on mIRC? ICQ? |

I was 20, living here.
https://www.theage.com.au/national/v...21-gqxjzt.html We wouldn't have been there for very long, in March. It was supposed to be a week or two while we looked at flats. But we ended up staying there until I left Melbourne and went home to NZ. I slowly went crazy and in October ended up in the psych ward across the road, which, I soon found out, was a sort of part time residence for half the building anyway. My brother came to live in Melbourne and stayed with us; his first morning there he came back from the shared bathroom on our floor and said "Someone left a shit on the floor." It was that kind of place. For internet, I had to go down the road to an internet cafe that was in the back of a sex shop. The window displays were usually like lube and dildos. But they served pretty good espresso. It was... a cafe/sex shop/internet cafe. |

For a couple of months, I would smoke weed until 2am with my boyfriend and brother, sleep 5 hours, then get up, get dressed, and go to my job in an insurance company call centre, in the city. It don't know if it was that...or what I did when I quit doing that... the smoking 1g/day of marijuana and recording music all day on my shitty Tascam Porta II...that sent me to the nuthouse. Maybe it was the shit on the floor. I think it was just everything.

That place looks cool. That's the kind of building we just don't have here in brazil and see a lot in movies and stuff. Always wanted to live in that sort of place.

in 2000 I lived in this building on the 8th floor
https://cdn.123i.com.br/photo/catalo...29b6cfe336.jpg i'm not positive of the exact time, but it was probably that year that I had my two cats fall off the window and die (in different occasions). Also that was probably the year that someone hit the building manager with a water balloon. I was playing in my room and saw with the corner of my eye something zooming by, I go look outside the window and the guy was drenched looking up and I was the only one to be on the window so they thought I did it. That guy was a Mr. Burns looking motherfucker and everyone hated him. |

Ah, that sucks.
There was quite heavy foot traffic under our window...we were right on the corner. http://vhd.heritagecouncil.vic.gov.a...00/184/581.jpg Somebody gave us a huge bag of lemons once, and my boyfriend and brother launched 'Operation Lemon'. They squashed the lemons to make them all juicy and pulpy inside, then carefully cut them in half. They'd spend 10 minutes looking for the perfect target through the blinds, then one of them would lift the blind and the other one would hurl the lemon at the target before the other lowered the blind split seconds later. Your building manager may have made himself a target by looking like an asshole....that was certainly the criteria during Operation Lemon. The idea that some poor ten year old would come to the window and get blamed would have horrified us all I think. I'm sorry to hear about your poor cats. I don't know that I'd ever been on the 8th floor of anything, at 10 years old. That must have been heartbreaking |
