Unsane
***SPOILERS AHEAD. FUCK YOU IF YOU READ THIS*** I did not enjoy this movie...I endured it. Great air of tension in this. Sadly, the primary protagonist just isn't very likeable; you go through the movie thinking that she is the way she is largely because of what happened with her stalker prior to the events of the movie, and then during a key seen with her stalker, it is implied that she was a big ol' bitch even before the issues with her stalker, which makes her a lot less sympathetic. Also, WTF Juno Temple. Still, Steven Soderberg does know how to film suspense. B- |

Coco - 9/10
I'm usually pretty indifferent to animated films, even of the Pixar variety (could give two shits about Toy Story) but this one got me right in the feels. Really gorgeous film to boot; I often forgot I wasn't watching characters interacting with a real environment. |

checking out the trailer to "coco", it's funny to point out that it doesn't look much different to a ton of other current films that have nothing to do with animation and claim to be based in reality. all the green screen michael bay bullshit.

Ready Player One
(I have not read the book) Sensory overload. Stiff acting. Formulaic plot. A Comic-con nerd's wet dream of pop-culture references, taken to the most obnoxious how-many-can-we-point-out level imaginable. About 15 minutes too long. A climax that is way too drawn out. But you should still see this movie...cos it is the DEFINITION of fun. For me to say otherwise would make me a fucking liar. B |

The Titan - ★★
This movie was not as completely terrible as I expected. The story stays focused on the characters and is very simple and straight forward. I appreciated it for that. Replace Sam Worthington with literally any actor capable of expressing emotion and this would be a decent small budget sci-fi flick. |

I thought Ferdinand was quite good, not at the level of good pixar or Your Name, but it's fun.

I've been meaning to watch Napping Princess for a bit:
In searching for this trailer I found out the whole movie is on Youtube with subtitles, so i'll probably watch it tonight. |

Yes, I always prefer watching movies in their original language, even if I don't understand it.
Subtitles ftw. |

The Last Jedi - 8/10
I think the fact that the internet hated it boosted my appreciation for it. Refreshing to see a Star War with actual vision after the perfectly fine but utterly banal Force Awakens. |

I watched it again recently and my opinion had fallen even further. There are aspects I like a lot, but the plot is fan fiction-esque |

Yeah I mean obviously doesn't have anything on Rogue One. And you know, there were some terrible things about it.
But Adam Driver went full hot retard so it's still a landmark film in that sense, and you know, for the money they spent, they produced some good spectacle and entertainment. |
