"Famous" is kind of a strong word. I would have gone with "almost a thing circa 2004."

As the board's biggest Third Eye Blind fan, I get it.

Guys, I need date ideas again.

It's too warm to ice skate.

I thought about wine tasting because this one place has free ones every Thursday, but she works every Thursday. I scoured the internet for wine tastings held on the days that she is free, but nothing ever happens on Tuesdays.

I dunno, I feel like dates need both an activity and a food component. Like, do something fun, and then you have something to talk about when eating and drinking.

Well, the girl I'm taking out Thursday, we're just getting food and drinks because she seems to have a busy schedule and we can only really slot in a date between her classes, so we might as well go to the campus pub.

But the other girl, I like better and want to impress.

Are indoor climbing walls just for kids, or do adults do them? I don't know a lot about them, but it seems like a kiddified version of real rock climbing, no?

I feel like indoor rollerblading could be fun, but the only place I know of seems to be a kids' place, and it would be awkward to have a date in a place populated by kids. One time, I went to that place with my little sister, and I still felt like people would be looking at me like I'm a paedophile.

Yeah that's a good idea. We live in a town with a small downtown it's always good for a walk and a bite

Why is everything always on a Thursday?

Even the "adult night" at the science center is on the first Thursday of every month.

We need to spread out events throughout the week. Tuesdays get no love.

No one wants to hold in farts during rock climbing. Please. Unless athletics are your thing it's like so annoyingly pretentious to do such a thing. TOUGH LOVE DK

Where you go and what you do doesn't matter.

As long as you're appropriately adorned in conversation-starting accessories, such as a snakeskin eye patch or a fez, it'll all work out just fine.

For the amount of dates you go on, that must be exhausting. Keep it simple man, you're gonna burn out by June.

Drinks and food and then a walk or whatever. THEN if you guys take it further, THEN you bust out the crazy activities.

Is it just me or are pub quizzes exclusively held on Tuesdays?

That's not a suggestion, mind.

I actually feel like taking girls to athletic things is better because I'm not athletic.

Nobody wants to be taken to the ski slopes by some expert skier who's just going to show off and impress you, especially when you're not a skier yourself.

But if you both suck at skiing and have fun helping each other and laughing at yourselves? I dunno, that sounds better and less douchey than trying to show off how athletic you are to a girl.

But yeah, I gotta take into account the holding-in-gas thing. Nobody wants to be put in that position, and I always have to plan around the fact that you never know when you'll be feeling a little bloated.

Just putting myself in the perspective of your prospective date(s): doing something physical and/or challenging on a first date stresses me out just thinking about it.

I get the instinct to want to make it special and stand-out, but really, future Mrs. Disco King won't fall in love with you because of the activity you chose on your first date.

I wouldn't want to risk falling on my ass on a first date, that's for sure.

Was gonna say "take that to mean..." but then I realized the inherent riskiness given the context.

I just remembered what actually happens on Mondays and Tuesdays: comedy.

Is this an okay date idea? Or is it pretty much like taking somebody to a movie?

In my experience, this has always made for a terrible first date. You can't talk for two whole hours.
