when croatia gained independence they changed the names of their months. instead of the latin ones they use a bunch of weird archaic slavic terms. now my aunts who have decided that they are croatians get butthurt if i used the latin (SERBIAN) names. i'm like wtf.

Why must any questioning towards transgender people be met with such sensitivity? It's like people are so scared that they're gonna appear offensive so they keep all curiosity to themselves. The Croatian Cultural Center used to be a popular music venue in Vancouver. Great place for all ages shows and a lot of band competitions were there. I remember seeing shows by Rancid, Millencolin, Dragonforce, Anti-Flag among many others there. It was great because they had this bar connected to the venue but separate from the shows and they'd never I.D... Whenever there was battle of the bands we'd just pack our teenage friends in there and would all get loaded among the crusty old Croation regulars. They seemed to enjoy the sights of the younger girls.

I don't know why they ever stopped hosting shows there. It was a big part of my youth.
