Well the music board is actually somewhat lively. Plus most of it is requesting stuff and uploading stuff. It is very much its own place with its own patrons.

The politics board is more like what should be in general chat, as people never venture over to the politics section. Plus sometimes it takes days to see a response over there. It actually has a purpose being merged with the Gen. Chat board.

i believe there really are a lot of people here who know a thing or two about music (i.e. have their own taste/music means something to them) who are simply intimidated by the ghetto-like nature of the music board, where, as tcm put it, everything is controlled by (mostly narrow-minded) patrons

let's face it, music is the number one reason most of us registered here in the first place

often i have the desire to start a thread that may be slightly political or music related, but then I change my mind because I don't feel like posting it on a dead(er) sister board.
