As far as I remember, Billy kept a few basses and guitars that both Darcy and James played. I don't know who actually bought them, but I'm sure if you left it behind for over 20 years, you can't claim it like that.

I can confirm that the bass that Bill is holding is used in the Zeitgeist artwork based on the sticker placement. But is it the original that has just been restored? Is it a hollow replica that was only used for the Zeitgeist artwork? I have no idea anymore...

Edit: the body is different as well..

I think the only bass D'arcy must have is the black Jazz bass. IRC the Siamese Dream bass with the stickers was refinished and can be seen in the Untitled video.

Maybe he was just trying to psyche D'arcy out, knowing that she'd see it and then think that he was the one who now had her favorite bass. Wouldn't put it past Billy to do something petty like that. Why else would he refinish it and get the same stickers all those years later?

remember, d'arcy's got a foggy memory. she mistook MCIS being recorded in Atlanta, for example.

James hasn't given her the bass because he doesn't have it. she's still pissed at him for joining SP, maybe this is her Darcy way of throwing shade.

That's honestly been my thought since the interview went up over a year ago. Obviously, if Corgan screwed her out of her opportunity to be a part of the tour, that's on him, but the interview with her read like the worst qualities of Courtney Love and Billy rolled into one: she's stronger than anyone in the band, can quit drugs on a whim, etc. The comment about saying Billy might have a tumor like his mother sounded just like something Billy would have said in an angry Facebook message to someone who offended him.

Right. hey guess what? there's two assholes in the band and there's only room for one now.

I recently went back to read that interview and she's really off base/comes across as lying about a LOT of points. Machina was done before the Arising tour? uhh... no. She told her side of the story, but it's not the whole story. And obviously Billy has an issue with communication, what with having other people call her and everything. She was probably mad fucking scary to deal with.
