my impression is that it does the same thing as a slow cooker, but in a few minutes

and it uses induction or doesn't let out steam or some such so it's faster than just an oven or pot or something, gets hotter maybe? it cooks shit fast but also thoroughly like it was cooked all day

my wife has one and she loves it. makes some pretty tasty dishes, a wide range of them

that said, i know almost nothing about it, other than what it's like to clean. which is pretty darn easy
