like i said, i'm an athiest but i studied enough of what jesus talked about to know that he was not cool with "selfishness is a virtue"

i am an athiest, staunch in the fact that I am honest enough to say that at this point in my life there is no way i could ever honestly beleive in an all powerful deity that cared about what i did. if you want to claim god you have to really Believe in that shit you feel me. HOWEVER i am not a dawkinstard where i act like this makes me better than the religious. people who actually engage the scriptures and come out realizing that jesus wanted you to love everyone and care for the poor are beautiful and honest christians and they have more conviction and follow-through than any number of atheists who claim the same kind of ideals.

for example, i have a hard time believing scotty does anything for his cause but act smug on the internet and repeat MSNBC talkign points. however i know several people on the christian left who are always lending a hand to community services and political action groups.

they tell people who are terminal that they won't treat them (fucks up their stats that they use to sell treatment) and then the best part is that they tell the terminal people who they discontinued treatment on to call the american cancer society for treatment

the american cancer society doesn't provide treatment

CTCA has a fucking algorithm to figure out what the best bets on treating cancer successfuly are, and deny or drop the rest
