hell yea - pistol pete was the first "folk song" he wrote. paved the way to the chicago songs. prairie song for the win.

Absolutely. Maybe my favorite from Adore. That said, it's followed by Annie-Dog, which is probably my vote for worst (overall). I don't know if I've even listened to it all the way through more than once or twice.

the combo of starz and the united states was one of the first times that i found sp songs to be completely unlistenable...i've only made it through starz a few times (to hear the cool guitar solo and breakdown) and i don't think i've ever made it through US without skipping forward

plus 1

love is an amazing song, sure it's just average by SP standards, but worst song? holy fuck no way

And Pomp is one of the only good songs on Zeitgeist imo

I'd mention that Pomp and Circumstances & Starz were two of my favorites from Zeitgeist, but then I'd sound like a troll, wouldn't I?

P.S. I'd vote 7 Shades of Black or United States as the worst from Zeitgeist.

I love starz, awesome 'he man' drum solo as julio would call it.

pomp though.. shit. there are some songs that were recorded horridly that translate well live (see wound, TCTOM, BSBT, or for that matter most of Machina), but no matter what manner pomp is played in, it is still a heaping pile of shit. just an all around, horribly written song.

was beyond ecstatic when they didn't play it at the show i went to and instead replaced it with let me give the world. ECSTATIC.

Fixed that for you.

As for the worst non-Iha song? I gotta say Shame (though the 2007 version of it improved it by leaps and bounds) or Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete.

I guess people aren't mentioning GLOW or FOL because at that point they genuinely stopped being the pumpkins

Annie Dog is a good song but not on the album. Billy seemed to be doing everything possible to make his voice sound like he had a dose of flu. Live it's excellent.

Agree about Pistol Pete, very good song and one of the best on Adore.

My choice for worst song would be one of the Adore b-sides, possibly Czarina, or Real Love from Machina II.

Worst from an actual album... all of Zeitgeist, I just can't seperate them.
