I don't get it either. I must have a sensitive tongue/mouth or whatever.

People here like to drink their yerba mate boiling fricking hot.

Does Florida still do that stupid thing where you're not required to have auto insurance? I could google it myself, but I'd rather hear it from a friend.

So I moved into a bigger and better apartment with its own entrance. Far away from the street and crazy preggo chain-smoking 50 year old Jesus freak.

Dog is confused, life is good.

Moving from one unit to another in the same building shouldn't have been as taxing as it was. I moved everything Friday/Saturday morning and my ass still feels like it's been kicked to hell and back.

not that i wanna get all up in your ass about this, but perhaps it has something to do with the involvement of Thomas?

Moving is unpleasant cause it's both physically and emotionally exhausting - having to disassemble and reassemble your home

I get fucky just having to move my drums around for the same reason

not this cheap. i pay 500 including everything. cheapest studio i maybe can find is 800 plus utilities, so at least $1000

i'm supposed to be moving in 10 days to Oregon but i still don't have a place to live 100% yet. i'm SUPPOSED to but the appraiser here is holding things up big time because it's affecting the loan of the buyers of this house. and the house down there also has a few issues that need to be fixed before move in (a broken beam in the attic, making 1000% sure there's not a gas leak, cleaning the carpet) but the owners still have like a day and a half to respond about it. so there's nothing i can really do but hope the timing works out or i guess i can't move until everything is settled. i'm having a pretty nice time organizing all of it, actually. i just detest the actual packing.

wow, good luck.

i don't really have a lot of stuff. even hiring a mover shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred bucks. i literally have a bed, a table, a dresser, and a nightstand. and misc stuff of course. probably could get it all in 3-4 big boxes. prob could get some people on craigslist to do it for $100

i just dont want to deal with deep cleaning and the instability of moving. plus gotta make sure place is good for kitty. also more $$$.

yeah

i mean before i lived here i moved... 4 times in less than a year. that sucked pretty bad. but i was only renting rooms and had no other responsibilities. and i didn't have any furniture or pets.

it will be nice being in a new, hopefully bigger place. but going from $500 to prob 1100-1200 a month is rough

Nah, Roy has gone back to the wilderness, more or less.

It was just a lot of fucking walking up and down stairs over and over.

i'm getting deposed this afternoon by the opposing lawyer in my case.

and yesterday i went to the hospital (my idea and the first time i have ever made that decision) and found out i have pneumonia. i was putting up with a cough for 3 weeks, but plumb freaked out when 90% of the hearing went from my left ear.

I'm at everyone's favorite whine line, the DMV! My ticket is B212 and I haven't seen a single B ticket come up on the board yet. The gang's all here...grampa vet...punk rock girl...hunting jacket guy...it's been a minute.

fanks. i only had a stupid productive cough but no other symptoms so i didn't bother addressing it and assumed it would run its course. i'm glad i went to the hospital when i did even though it took something scary for me to do it.

my hearing isn't 100% yet so i feel inclined to not say much since everything sounds a lot more hushed and i'm just following suit. i think it might come in handy at my deposition.

i met with my lawyer yesterday to discuss it, and he gave me tips for answering questions. ex. when asked 'do you know what time it is?' one usually says Oh sure, it's 12:00 o'clock. But when a lawyer asks you, just say yes. make them work. make them work, work, make them work.

also, be pleasant. extremely pleasant. don't get annoyed. some lawyers will try to get under your skin. others might be pleasant themselves to make you comfortable and elicit more info. be mindful of that, etc.

yeah, answer questions but no more than exactly what they asked.

i understand the hearing loss thing, it is sort of nice in a way. like, if the whole world couldn't hear, we'd be alright in society. of course people expect it so that doesn't work.

hope you feel better soon

the thought of someone just coolly answering this way is hilarious. also, the entire thing sounds pretty damn nerve wracking but i'm sure you can get through it

Why do you need to leave? Building being sold or so?

Do you dread the thought of having to find a new place?

Moving from ons place to another usually changes a few or a lot of things in your life and thus can lead to stress but it can also lead to good things. Hope you find something right.
