Saw Two Gallants and Eagles Of Death Metal on Wednesday.
2GS were absolutely fantastic, and their new songs sound incredible. EoDM were fun, as expected. Maybe I was just drunk, though.

I'm gonna see "Ozzy & Friends" on Tuesday. Still says "Black Sabbath" on my ticket I got a few months ago - thanks a lot, cancer.

8/23 birthmark
9/29 pygmalion fest (grizzly bear / dirty projectors / dinosaur jr / sleigh bells / best coast / cloud nothings / tennis / willis earl beal / frankie rose / laetitia sadler / big freedia / some other bands)

trying to see neil young & crazy horse in october but that probably won't happen because it's insanely fucking expensive even though this is probably my last chance to see him

Didn't go to Sleigh Bells because I was hearing a lot of bad reviews and also couldn't justify dropping $25-30 on it. Didn't see Childish Gambino because it sold out.

Fiona Apple was really good, though.

Upcoming:
08.05 - Buzz Under the Stars: Silversun Pickups/ Fun./ Garbage @ Berkley Riverfront Park
09.28 - GBV @ The Granada in Lawrence, KS
10.20 - Tilly and the Wall @ Mojó's in Columbia, MO

AND if I can nab a ticket when they go on sale this Saturday:
11.17 - Bruce Springsteen @ Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO

sleigh bells is fucking horrible, the only reason they're famous is because alexis krauss is like stupendously ultra hot

If you are in Minnesota, it's 770 AM.

If not, you can stream the show at http://www.radiok.org/

The Buzz festival thing was pretty cool. It rained halfway through so we were able to leave and come back if we wanted. So, all of us piled in the car and went to a nearby liquor store. We waited in the line to get back in and it was so long, we were able to drink a lot. Garbage played a too-short set but they thanked everyone for sticking around, right before playing 'Only Happy When It Rains'. Two of the people I was with left before Garbage because they were tired/drunk. Then my other friend left after or during fun. I'm not sure which because I got really drunk off vodka and left after like three Silversun Pickups songs. That is why I rarely drink at shows.

Ringo Deathstarr played in a small bar in Lawrence, KS. I got there really early, way too early, and they played with some bands called JabberJosh and Brainstorm. I didn't watch either openers because I was already tired and wanted to read the book I was reading outside the venue. R. Deathstarr themselves were only OK; their roadie quit the day before so dude had to change his own guitars so it kind of deflated the performance.

Saw Crocodiles tonight. Shit was dope. Talked to Brandon (lead singer) about merch but they had run out of t-shirts; told me to email him about it and see what he could do. Short set list (maybe 9 songs), no encore. Maybe at most 50 people in attendance. Lead singer straight up called out someone for being on Facebook during the second to last song. He was like, "HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT THAT GUY ON FACEBOOK. THAT GUY, RIGHT THERE, EVERYONE LOOK AT HIM" while the dude is completely oblivious because, well, he was on his phone. When the dude finally realized it, he was probably feeling two inches tall.

Saw Godspeed on Monday.
Will see a bunch of great German/Austrian bands over the next few months.
Two Gallants twice in December.

And I got tickets for the Status Quo reunion show in London in March, where I'm going with my dad (obviously).

If you live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, you should totally come see my band Awkward Bodies. We got called out for having a Smashing Pumpkins influence at our last show (didn't help that we played a verse of My Dahlia).

11/27 @ The Hexagon
12/21 @ Palmers
