Hot Fuss & Sam's Town are obv classix. I feel like Day and Age was a noble effort to combine the sound of their first two records, but it fell flat for me (except for the singles). Battle Born is, perhaps surprisingly, a pretty solid record, all told, and they should have just broken up after it because they took five years to shit out Wonderful and it is trash.

I also feel like they are good at knowing what belongs on their albums and what doesn't - because their b-sides/outtakes are mostly forgettable, though I do like a few (Get Trashed, Michael Valentine, Four Winds, Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town, & Romeo and Juliet).

Oh, also, their Christmas chunes are fun, too. "Happy Birthday, Guadalupe" is one of my favorite modern xmas songs.
I pretty much agree with this assessment, especially re: Battle Born which I think is pretty underrated.

Regarding their b-sides, Glamorous Indie Rock N' Roll (Hot Fuss bonus track version, not the Sawdust version) is pretty bitching. I also go pretty hard for the Thin White Duke remix of Mr. Brightside.
