You prefer Mike Byrne and Nicole florentino over Jimmy and Ginger.

That shows any educated fan that it is in fact YOU who knows "shit about music"

You always rant and rave about Nicole and Mike... One would just have to assume that you prefer them.

You've already mentioned that you've believed that fans wouldn't be able to tell the difference between Mike Byrnes "stick smashing" and Jimmy's drumming.

Please show me where I rave about Mike's drumming?
Nicole's Bass parts are better than the other SP songs. That is just a fact. I have always said my fav is D'arcy.

My thought about people being unable to distinguish between jimmy and mike is because I bet if jimmy faked a shitty drum part many fans would brand him a genius, jimmy can do no wrong.

You are just pissed because you would probably be one of those people.

This was a major revelation for me! I think ZZ Top is the only non-attractive rock band to hit the top without a gimmick like KISS, what a major accomplishment, I stand in awe. Anyone else?

These guys deserve some serious props multiplied by infinity!

The definition of superstars!

All the guys in KISS are considered attractive by most people's standards.

I don't think Simpson is too special. Let's say Claudia Schiffer (the most beautiful woman that I've seen) in her prime...

If Schiffer could play the bass and sing as well as Ginger than I'd take Schiffer, of course, what heterosexual male wouldn't?

I wouldn't know, I've never seen them without make-up and they just look ugly to me with make-up.

There are some Adore era photo shoots where Billy actually comes off as rather handsome. And also in the Mellon Collie era Rolling Stone photo shoots. But other than that he always looks strange and weird.

You say Gene Simmons is "considered attractive" and then you say this about 1990s Billy Corgan? Come to think of it I have seen Gene Simmons without make-up and I think he's ugly and scary looking, I don't know where you're coming from.

Looks are really subjective but even "strange and weird" is not equal to non-attractive.

I've always found Elvira attractive and I had a crush on Christina Ricci before and even the Winona Ryder character in Beatlejuice. I don't think strange and weird even matters in this discussion.

You don't really get a sense of how Jewish looking both Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are until they take their makeup off. I remember reading about how some celebrities reacted to Gene and Paul unmasking themselves in the early 80s saying something like "Gene is so ethnic looking without the makeup."

Perhaps all the heterosexual males that don't rate a woman's technical proficiency in a musical instrument based on how they make their dick feel.

This is like a circle, we're back to what I posted earlier and you just don't agree, that's fine.

In the context of this conversation, hotness is relevant. Hotness is a part of stage presence, aura, likableness, charisma, and other similar characteristics and...

We're talking about rock and roll, at the end of the day it's mostly about having fun and sexiness and hotness are fun, it's not immature to recognize that. It's part of being human.

Attractiveness has nothing to do with what someone musically contributes to a band. This is not a beauty contest.

You sound like you think the Pumpkins are playing classical music. I have to repeat this because I can't say it any better than this:

We're talking about rock and roll, at the end of the day it's mostly about having fun and sexiness and hotness are fun, it's not immature to recognize that. It's part of being human.

Take the Donnas as an example their looks make (or made I don't know) their music more FUN and therefore better.

This is actually one of my favorite songs and it's better because they're beautiful, sexy, hot, etc. It's a fact, those qualities DO make the music better, yes I said it.

Why is this one of my favorite songs, simple reason: It makes me HAPPY, would it make me as happy if they weren't so attractive: NO WAY!

This is rock n roll, what's that all about anyway?

Now, if you put rock music together with classical, then it all changes and you're in a totally different world. Metallica proved that.

You take a classic rock song and make it a classical performance and then I would agree with you but not when it's straight rock.

It's easy to understand why a sloppy performance by better looking people could be more FUN than a more perfect performance by ugly people.

I'm not the only one making that point in this thread so don't lie and say it's only me.

I'd fuck Jeff and then go for some Korean BBQ with him. I saw a pic of him being in charge of the cooking and I have been a jeff fan ever since. I need a half European and half asian guitar hottie in my life.

I have to look at the source code to be able to read the rest of this thread LMAO!

But back to the serious question about fucking Jeff.
Ya, if Jeff is a good lover why not? He seems pretty cool and down to earth. I should check out his trouser bulge next time I see him perform.

What was the end of page 4, I can't see it?

It's simple, generally speaking:

sexiness = fun
hotness = fun
beauty = fun
attractiveness = fun

If music is supposed to be fun and make people happy then wouldn't the above and similar qualities make for more fun music (and therefore BETTER music -at least in the case of rock generally speaking- such the example of The Donnas that I gave)?

I know you're really pretentious so I'll give you a pretentious example:

Would Andy Warhol's "art" have been noticed if it wasn't Andy Warhol doing it?

I would say almost without exception: NO! That's an example of an artist making their art better simply because of WHO THEY ARE!

How is that different from Ginger's contribution to the Pumpkins being appreciated for WHO SHE IS?

I don't see a difference. I'll be hoping for comments.
