Default Radiohead and Damon Albarn the only relevant artists from the 90s

My friend sent me the video for the new Gorillaz song Sleeping Powder and that started a discussion with him about how Albarn and Radiohead really seem to be the only 90s Rock acts who are still relevant in the music industry because they have been able to reinvent themselves and update their sound.

Foo Fighters are still relevant. Green Day kind of are, but slipping a bit, but their latest release debuted at #1 so that stands for something.

Who dictates what defines relevance?

In deference to CW, they did qualify the relevancy to progressing with their sound. Not that it diminishes their 'relevance', but I think the Foo's and GD were smart enough to keep their sound in the pocket that works for them, which isn't all that much progression compared to Radiohead and MUSE. Gorillaz? sure, i guess, not all that familiar with them, but they are British, so...stands to reason.
