ummm... what? i was still a douche to esty, just not full on. besides, i knew a girl named esty, 'tis a girls name. hear that: a WOMAN'S GIRL NAME.
that, coupled with boobs made it easy for me to believe he was a girl. something about a girl being that jaded and pissy was kind of hot. not so a guy. |

the only thing you've done to suggest you are as fucked up as your avatar looks is make stupid arguments. the reasons to believe that is you are not compelling

if your 'insult' to me was to say stupid things that make you look stupid, than i posit that your 'arugment' that i have been insulted by you is weak, much like your wit

What can I say? I love it. The guitars and drums are on point, the transitions in the song are definitely giving me that Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness feel, and that's never bad. It kicks ass. Can't wait for the album to come out.

upon further consideration, i suspect that chamberlin co-wrote the entire album.

SP 2007
Personally I love 'Tarantula' ... It has got me very excited about the new album.
A lot of mixed feelings about the vocal mix ... Well ... Alight, so it isn't the Pumpkins of old, but isn't that a good thing in the respect of that the last SP album was in 2000, and now it is 2007 with two new members, starting over, starting fresh? If you've kept up with the Smashing Pumpkins over the years, and you've listened to their music consistently album after album, the main thing that Gish, Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adore, and Machina have in common is that none of them sound the same. I think what the problem is, is that Gish came out in 91', Siamese Dream in 93'. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness in 95', Adore in 98' and Machina in 2000 Five albums, ... 3 years is the longest time span between one album from the next, until now. So here comes Zeitgeist, 7 years after Machina was released. Almost a decade has went by since new SP material has been recorded or heard ... and now people are freaking because it's not what they remember. And what strikes me funny is that if Tarantula is any indication of how the rest of the album is going to take form, then for all intents and purposes it's everything one could want in a Pumpkins album. Sound evolves folks ... if you've read the lyrics to Tarantula, it is said "Yes I’m real, ‘cause someone gave us sound." ... I could be mistaken, but I feel Billy was talking about "us" the fans. Say what you will, but the Pumpkins may have been a lot of things over the years ... but they have never been stale by any means. Billy Corgan's song writing reflects whats going on inside of him, his soul, his heart ... this man has gone through some serious life changing experiences after the break up in 2000. He is speaking to us in this new single ... this is just a small part: "Can’t stand the morning rain Get out and take your place then Can’t stand the blazing sun Then close your eyes you’ll see The angel die." Think about it ... listen. -- Steve |

Don your Zoot suit's and grab your amps!
I may have fallen off my rocker and hit my gourd on something, but ... I forgot to mention in my previous post that it sounds like to me that the way Billy sings the song, it's Swing/Jazz like in nature.
It works very well too. -- Steve |
