Default Kanye West

Alright, I know I've bagged on the guy over the years but he's gained my respect as of late. Even thinking back to his old antics, in hindsight, they were pretty cool. No one knew Taylor Swift at the time, but it turns out she's god-awful, so trolling her was cool and It took big marbles to rip on Bush at that hurricane marathon.

Dude seems to live by the beat of his own drum and I respect that.

A lot of people have said that Kanye is a good gateway for people who aren't big rap listeners so I'm wondering, do you guys have any suggestions of where to start? I'm looking for basically his best album to check out. I've been super closed off when it comes to the more modern rap, so I figure I'll give it a shot.

So I gave 75% of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy a listen last night. It's actually got some pretty good shit. The general style isn't exactly my cup of tea and a few of the song's missed the mark, but a track like this is pretty ill

Definitely a lot more creative and interesting than the shit that the grunge dinosaurs are putting out these days.

Kanye's lyrical content is a lot different from a lot of the rappers with the negative lyrical content. I got a big kick out of the "Too many Urkel's on your team thats why you're Winslow." rhyme on the first track.

She for some reason just posted the part where the epic speech gets lame.

Slunk, you should check out this. It's 30 minutes. Kanye's on fire. It's a helluva rant. Definitely gained my respect with it.

Default Fuzzy - Kanye gained my respect with "slavery was a choice" rant

Dude, just fuck right off. You have no respect for black artists/rap and then suddenly Kanye drops the most illegitimate, insane rant and you're on his side? Fuck you.

Kanye misspoke in that one part. He went on to elaborate what he meant. He obviously fucked up that part, but the majority of the rant was brilliant and you can tell that the man has a lot to say.

Maybe dig a little deeper aside from the one sentence headline that the media dwells on to smear him.

Well I liked what he had to say. The guy is passionate. And I think back in hindsight and it was pretty cool that he roasted on Swift and ripped on Bush.

Guy's been on the right side of history. I admire artists that take chances and break free from the cookie cutter mould

Meanwhile you see guys like Jay-Z doing the establishments dirty work by praising proven crooks like Hillary Clinton. I have no respect for that .
