Right on. Lemme know what you think. Debating getting that for my Dad for Christmas, who's a pretty big Neil fan.

Great list action in this thread. The inclusion of "Fillmore East" over "Massey Hall" blows my mind, and has thus prompted a re-listening of Fillmore. It is indeed great... but man, I love that Massey Hall show. Few live recordings are as moody and dark as that thing is. Love it.

Psychedelic Pill's easily the best album I've heard all year so far.

And how can you class Harvest Moon as a tier 2 Neil album?!?

Not to mention "One of these Days" or "Dreamin' Man"...

by far the best thing I've heard this year, or last year either. I'm really blown away by this record. The 28 minute opener is probably the weakest part. Great instrumentation but the stream of consciousness rambling lyrics get old after awhile. Gonna get a hip hop haircut. Finding my religion. I might be a pagan. Rocking out my anger.
But just there are no words for how intense some of these songs are

I'm also not that partial to Harvest Moon though. It has some really good songs on it, but also some mediocre ones.

yeah I figured it was about writing his book and thinking about his life. I will probably read it but I have a long queue of things to read so it could be awhile
