i think he did fairly well to smooth over some of his previous remarks about james and darcy. maybe they'll never completely forgive him (for being a control freak), but i'm sure they understand why he had to be.

Hey Scotty, was your experience growing up in the 70s accurate to what Corgan is saying here?

Yes, exactly like he was saying.

I would elaborate, but I'd probably just get dissed for it. So I'll leave it at that.

good old matt pinfield. enjoyed listening to that. kinda always surprising when bill seems not bitter etc.

weird hearing billy say he didn't think quiet and geek were that good, all i could think was at the time i got into the band and was learning to play/write, those songs were like the pinnacle of what i could ever hope to be able to write lol. i agree w/ his opinion that 'sd' was a shit song.

also never knew he sang 'bury me in blood'.

Good interview. But that part about Mayonaise and how he doesn't like the song because everyone thinks James wrote it...how childish and butthurt and typically...Corgan.

Look dude, everyone knows you wrote the lyrics and some of the other parts of the song. Do you really need every ounce of fucking credit for everything to be a complete person? James wrote the beautiful intro part and the great verse chord progression. The song wouldn't exist without him. I guess it pisses you off that the best SP song hands-fucking-down was co-written by James.

The best SP song hands down is Here Is No Why. Mayonnaise is close behind though.

I guess it's:

bury me in love
bury me in blood

shared your kisses etc

bury me - like quiet - is i a good song, but kinda bland for SP

SD would be interesting with HKK in the place of Geek USA. i wonder if this was considered at some point. maybe we'll find out when the PI reissue comes out.

i get what he means about 'good songs' vs 'jam songs'
but the 'jam songs' are what I like and miss about SP

piano songs here and there are nice, but bring out the jammers!
