I'll go if I can get a ticket on Stubhub for $25. But I will probably cave and go for $30. My nostalgia is helpless!

i'm almost definitely gonna see 'em in Houston, provided enough people don't shout "WHERE'S D'ARCY" at the preceding concerts causing a WPC storm-off & tour cancel

I am glad D'Arcy is out so I am in.

It just so happens I am travelling around the world at the moment (currently in South East Asia) and should be in the US for a few weeks at some point during the tour before heading onto South America so I am going to try and catch them then. I have been very lucky on the tour timings here as it fits in perfectly with my travel plans.

I am very disappointed though that the tour will not be the first five albums and NEW music. I want new music.

Who me? Or the poster of the question?

Just in case you meant me I just meant I am glad D'Arcy is out because I don't think returning to the band would be good for her mental and physical wellbeing. I would worry about what it would do to her. She was an important part of my musical youth and I would hate to see the band damage her again the same way it did before as she outlined in the interview.

Not trying to get a reaction. Grew out of trolling 20 years ago.

very grown up. I appreciate that. what do you think is the best album of the last ten years, oceania or a crow looked at me by mount eerie? I'm undecided.

So you did mean me then. I can assure you I am not trying to get a reaction. I am just giving my honest opinion as we all are. I care about all the members of the band as I was brought up listening to their music. After reading her interview with the mental health and physical problems I would seriously worry about her if she returned to that environment. Not saying she shouldn't have the chance like anyone should but I wouldn't like to see her suffer like she described and for that reason I am glad she is not going back. Yeah sure, for selfish personal nostalgia reasons would love to see her back but not at the expense of her sanity or health.

Also, I have no idea what your question /joke means.

Good day to you.

hang on, you grew out of trolling 20 years ago, yet you just posted

Quote:
I have just spent the past 5 minutes reading that post and thread over and again and have no idea or recollection on why I lied in that post on 8 June 2016. Maybe I found it fun pretending I was a new fan to see the reaction of older fans. The shock they would have at someone becoming a fan during the Teargarden period, some of the replies were quite funny.
this is interesting. can you shed some light on that situation?

good day to you too!

I said I used to be a troll. Not anymore. And I didn't admit i was trolling in 2016. I just speculated that is what i might have been doing as I couldn't recall why I lied about being a new fan and still cannot. Also, I am not trying to get a reaction with this post - the above are my true feelings on the D'Arcy situation.

Anyway, lets move on - Thanks for the tip on the Mount Eeerie album.

On second song, pretty crushing stuff but beautiful so far.

Never heard of them.

It is 32 degrees in Indonesia today, but raining! Hence burning time talking rubbish to you on here.

hah, jolly good then. All doubts are now cast aside. I believe every word you type. It's funny how completely legit people that say they started being fans during the post 2007 days all are.

Good I am glad we worked things out. Yup I first listened to the pumpkins in 1995 which is when I became a fan. As I said I cannot defend my 2016 post saying I was a new fan as I have no recollection of making it. MAYBE I was trying to get a reaction then. I am not now.

In fact it has just slowly dawned on my while thinking about it further that there is a chance my ex girlfriend might have made those posts - I was always logged in on my browser and she sort of got into the Smashing Pumpkins around that time based on my influence so may have been posting via my account. I have no idea why she used my account and am angry if she did but it seems like the most likely scenario now as I cannot imagine me writing that and don't recall it. I cannot ask her as we haven't spoken for 18 months but I think that must be it.

June 2016 - I clearly remember she was signed off work sick with a back problem then, staying at my apartment. She must have been bored and messing around on my computer. I remember as we had to cancel a holiday to Cyprus at the end of June 2016. This is definitely the answer.

I wonder what else she did in my name or on my accounts

Oh, brother!

I know a girl who once she decided she'd break up with her bf, maxed out all his cards buying shit for her while he was asleep. She broke up with him the very next day and simply walked away.

If the tour goes bad and tickets are cheap, I'll get one from a third party. Never seen JC in a big concert setting, never seen Iha live. Nor Corgan but fuck him

do you think we would get kicked out for peddling our own merch? probably so, but it would be worth it!

Billy corgan is an absolute dipshit

Stephen malkmus never stopped writing great songs. Billy stopped about 18 years ago. (Was just reading the p4k article where he's still whining about a 1994 lyric... What a fucking baby)

That said. .. The 90s sp albums are ingrained into my youth and I'll probably show up to the show

In closing, corgan is an absolute dipshit
