Enlightening insight, why promoters outside the States are not much interested to book the band anymore:

This is back from January I think, and I just recently decided to try a few episodes

I'd say Billy's taste in TV is about as good as his taste in his own music

The free shows of the Adore tour got financed by sponsoring, in Hamburg by a beer company. The Pumpkins never had a better publicity in Germany with 25000 visitors alone at the Spielbudenplatz.
May also have helped for the good record sales of Adore in Europe compared to America.

Notice he wasn't lectured... it was a basic fucking question. He could've given a simple yes/no, or explained why he thinks it's more complex than that. Instead he acts offended at the implication of 'hate speech' being applied to an unspecified subject.

He thinks he's a 'free soul' on some plain above everybody else, he can't engage with the question on an intellectually coherent level. You can't say you love everyone equally whilst being willfully ignorant of the tactics employed by those who discriminate.

An answer he might have looked for is: I abhor hate speech under any guise, however freedom of speech is also under attack and must be protected.

i feel like his two examples (dead soldiers and a drone blowing up a wedding) are kind of oddly dated? if you're going to attack the press and free speech, there's three million examples more current than the things he listed.
