Marlins will give mets a chase at the wildcard, but theyll finally be able to hold on.

The Atlanta pick is based on chipper being healthy and francouer having a better season. and Tim Hudson going back to his old self....

There is no chance in hell that Atlanta is winning that division.

Also the A's are considerably worse than the Mariners or Rangers.

He went out with blisters at least twice.

The second time Gammons changed the name to "avulsion," because it was all spin.

He sat out one game last year I recall because a cut/blister. He's been out because his quad more. That quad prevented them from winning the WS last year too.

I like how Gammons was already in prime red sox dick sucking form on baseball tonight the other day saying Beckett is the best pitcher in baseball.

Really hope they miss the playoffs this year.

Should be a good season.

Yankees lineup strong as always but this year we have a potentially dominant rotation

I'm heading to the new stadium for the game on the 18th.

It's a toss up so far, the season has just started. It's too early to be calling the winners.

I'm not sure how I ever claimed to "hate what people think of me", I've started a few of those "What do you think of these Netphorians" threads in my day. It doesn't really effect me either way but it's usually interesting.

So I'll agree to 1/3.

Rockies 4, Phillies 0 after just one inning. The Phillies' starting pitching better get their shit together.

I'm not particularly worried about him to be honest, he always starts slow and did not pitch much in spring training but none of their starters have looked good. They have a ERA over ten right now, although if their offense can wake up and the bullpen continues to do well they should be able to hang in there assuming their starters can work through it.

If he's still doing that after a couple more starts, I'll be worried.

i love seeing people freaking out about games in april.

if the mets can lose a season-long lead in less than a month i would think you're fine.

True, but they actually have a bullpen this year.

Matt Stairs just hit a pinch-hit homer! Nice. Brad Lidge time.

Is it my imagination or do good teams usually get off to a slow start?

this new mets stadium is not very impressive from an archetectural standpoint. i like that it's main feature is a big open space with no benches or tables behind the outfield adwall

Well, Lidge's save streak came to an end in a HUGE way. Gave up a huge three-run bomb after letting the tying run score. It had to end sometime, and considering he threw over thirty pitches the night before and only had a one run lead it's not that surprising.
